Colombia, Las Piedras. melon, lime, apple. Near the town of La Argentina in Colombia’s Huila region, Rodrigo Perafan grows Colombia, Castillo & Bourbon amongst a sprinkling of Geisha and native shade trees. The challenging terrain of his farm does not make it viable to separately harvest these varieties. Instead, this micro-blend brings a unique combination of sweetness, texture and fruity characteristics. Helping with processing and market access is Cedro Alto, a producer-owned cooperative that promotes financial transparency as a means of improving the social and environmental conditions for their members..
