Description

East Timor Remagoa. Situated at 1850masl, in the sub-district of Letefoho, East-Timor, Remagoa is one of the most remote locations for coffee production. There is no direct road access to this community, which means that the farmers must carry the coffee themselves or on horseback to the nearest road for collection and delivery to the warehouse. Before the farmers’ partnership with Karst began in 2022, there were limited opportunities for them to sell the harvested cherries, other than to the first passing truck for the lowest commercial price, after a 2km hike through thick forests.
