Description
The Gesha varietal is sometimes referred to as the 'Champagne of coffee', owing to its exceptional quality and unique flavour. This Platanillo certain embodies that with wonderful notes of mixed berries, tropical fruits and sweet finish. Very smooth. Great mouthfeel and lovely, vibrant cup of coffee. Possibly best suited more to longer-brew methods (filter, cafetiere, etc...) but also makes a zingy espresso which when pulled as a ristretto is wonderful. Finca El Platanillo is 347 hectares of coffee trees and native forests.
