Hawaii Kona, Greenwell Estate. 'Hawaii Kona' coffee is the most famous of all Hawaiian coffees, well-known for its bold yet elegant profile and widely enjoyed flavours of chocolate and spices. The Kona region on the big island of Hawaii is home to a superb combination of climatic factors, making for an ideal coffee growing micro-climate, characterized by rich volcanic soil, an ideal elevation of about 300-500 metres, and steady, gentle weather. Greenwell Estate Kona coffee is grown on a small private estate of just 60 hectares of the most productive land in the Kona District, about 335 metres above sea level..
