Description

GREEN Nepal, Mount Everest Estate. In 1939, a Monk travelling from Burma introduced coffee seeds to Nepal, marking the beginning of the country's coffee cultivation journey. Nearly five decades later, Ujjal Rana established the first commercial coffee estate in Nepal. The farms are situated on what were once barren rice fields, but through rewilding efforts, the estate now spans 100 hectares of lush coffee bushes. Amidst this regenerated landscape, endangered animals like leopards and diverse bird species have returned and found sanctuary.
