Rwanda, Huye Mountain. ALTITUDE : 1600 - 2300 MASL VARIETAL : Red Bourbon PROCESS : Natural Huye Mountain Coffee was founded by David Rubanzangabo in 2012, building on experience gained within Rwanda’s coffee sector since 1998. Beginning with 500 smallholder farmers, the project now works with more than 1,300 producers across Huye District, supporting quality and sustainability through training and micro-loans for farm improvements. Grown at high elevations in Rwanda’s mountainous south, this lot is 100% Bourbon, a variety well suited to the region’s volcanic soils, regular rainfall and warm sunshine.
