Description

NEW Burundi Giku Hill. butaganzwa, 600m - 1. A distinctive addition to the H.R.Higgins collection, and our first coffee from Burundi. Grown on the hills surrounding Ninga in Kayanza Province, this lot comes from around 150 smallholder farmers cultivating Red Bourbon trees at altitudes of 1,600 to 1,700 metres. Coffee is central to life in this remote region, where farmers often travel long distances to deliver their harvest. The cherries are processed at Ninga Coffee Washing Station, part of the Long Miles Coffee Project, founded in 2011.
