Description

Guatemala El Pensativo Medium Roast. Grown in the high mountains of Acatenango, Guatemala, this coffee comes from a group of small farms that are part of the El Pensativo cooperative. These farms sit between 1,550 and 2,000 metres above sea level, near two active volcanoes called Acatenango and Fuego. The volcanic soil and cool climate help give this coffee its unique taste. The farmers grow a mix of traditional coffee types, like Bourbon, Typica (also called Arabigo), Catuai, and Caturra. The beans are picked between November and March, then washed and dried using a careful process.
