Matagalpa, located in the mountainous north-central part of Nicaragua, boasts altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 1,600 meters (3,900 to 5,200 feet) above sea level. These high-altitude conditions create a favorable environment for coffee cultivation, ensuring slower cherry ripening and optimal development of the coffee beans..
