The coffee plant evolved here. Worka Nenke processes cherries from 2,950 local smallholder farmers. The station sits at 1,983masl and is serviced by the Lekole river. Farmers in this region typically cultivate Jarc (an Ethiopian heirloom sub-variety) on small plots of land around their house. Hence, these plots are colloquially known as 'garden coffee'.
