Volcán. Purchased through our valued partners at Cofinet, Volcán is our leading house espresso. This is a regional blend from producers in the Nariño region, at the highest coffee growing altitude in Colombia. The low temperature at this altitude creates a climate that is perfect for slow maturation of coffee cherries, developing a higher concentration of sugars. The soil in Nariño is unlike many others in Colombia — it’s extraordinarily rich in volcanic ash, due to high volcanic activity in the area.
